Lola and Chelsea are waiting for the bus when they are kidnapped because they witness a crime. These two couldn't be more different for extraction, character, history, but as the series develops it makes us realise that past traumas and common values can bond two people who, as Chelsea says at the end of season 2, would have never hanged out together. One question comes up: can they run away forever?

Lola e Chelsea sono alla fermata di autobus quando vengono rapite, perchè testimoni di un crimine. Le due donne non potrebbero essere più diverse per estrazione sociale, carattere e storia personale, ma mano mano che la la serie procede ci fa realizzare che i traumi del passato ed i valori comuni possono far unire due persone che, come dice Chelsea verso la fine della seconda stagione, non si sarebbero mai frequentate. Una domanda però nasce spontanea: potranno scappare per sempre?
Effetto collaterale: vi verrà voglia di fare un road trip in Australia!
Conversations with a killer: The Ted Bundy tapes - on Netflix
I have to say I didn't know much about Ted Bundy, but watching 'Extremely wicked, shockingly evil and vile''s trailer prompted me to watch this 4-episode documentary that tells the story of this serial killer, of his double escape (looks like a movie, doesn't it? But no, he really escaped twice) but that moved me to look for more information to understand the people around him. In particular, the female figures close to Bundy were maybe one of the things that intrigued the most (Liz, his fiancee and, later, his wife Carole), did they believe in his innocence? Didn't his behaviour rise any suspicion?

Devo dire che l'uscita del film Ted Bundy - Fascino criminale (che però non ho visto) mi ha stimolato a vedere questo documentario in 4 puntate, anche perchè non ne sapevo molto. Il documentario racconta la storia di questo serial killer, delle sue evasioni (da non crederci, sembra il soggetto di un film ed invece no, è evaso per ben due volte!) ma che allo stesso tempo mi ha spinto ad andare a cercare ulteriori notizie per capire meglio le persone che lo circondavano. In particolare le figure femminili attorno a Bundy forse sono una delle cose mi hanno colpito di più (Liz, la fidanzata e poi, sua moglie Carole), credevano completamente alla sua innocenza? Il suo comportamento non faceva nascere alcun sospetto?
The disappearance of Madeleine McCann - on Netflix
I watched this documentary because I vaguely remembered this case: it was 2007 when 3-year-old Maddie McCann disappeared from Praia da Luz in Portugal, while on holiday with her family. Getting through some UK airports in the past I happened to notice Maddie's picture and her age progression, but I didn't remember much about the case.
I liked the documentary because I feel like it has covered all the possible leads, focusing on one at the time, so at the end of some episodes you're really on one side, until you see the next one and you change your mind.
It's complete even because it gives different point of views of all the people involved in the case: from the family, to the portuguese villagers to the police. An important part has even been played by the media, reason why there is a lot of footage and interviews given at that time.
Whoever is responsible of her disappearance, I feel like every part of this case (from the moment the disappearance was discovered) could have been handled differently, more accurately.
As reminded in every episode, this case is, sadly, still open and the feeling is that we will never know what happened to Maddie.

Ho visto questo documentario perchè avevo solo un vago ricordo del caso: era il 2007 quando Maddie McCann, di 3 anni, scomparve da Praia da Luz in Portogallo, mentre era in vacanza con la sua famiglia. Passando da alcuni aeroporti nel Regno Unito in passato mi è capitato di notare la foto di Maddie e la sua "age progression", ma non ricordavo molto del caso.
Questo documentario mi è piaciuto perchè penso che abbia coperto tutte le piste possibili di questo caso, concentrandosi su una alla volta, in modo che alla fine di alcuni episodi ti fa propendere per un colpevole, fino a quando vedi l'episodio successivo e cambi idea.
E' completo anche perchè ti dà il punto di vista di tutte le parti coinvolte nel caso: dalla famiglia, agli abitanti del villaggio in Portogallo alla polizia. Una parte importante è stata anche quella dei media, infatti c'è molto materiale video ed interviste dell'epoca.
Chiunque sia il responsabile della sua scomparsa, la mia sensazione è che ogni parte di questo caso (cominciando dal momento della scoperta della scomparsa) sarebbe potuta essere trattata in maniera diversa, più accurata.
Come ricordato in ogni episodio, questo caso è, tristemente, ancora aperto e la sensazione è che non sapremo mai cosa sia successo a Maddie.
